Ovega3™life contains the active substances omega-3 DHA, docosahexaenoic acid and EPA, eicosapentaenoic acid. Active omega-3 fatty acids are important for our body and cannot be compared with other omega-3 fatty acids, which are in the form of ALA, and alpha-linolenic acid. ALA, alpha-linolenic acid, is not an active substance and must first be converted by our bodies into the active substances omega-3, DHA, EPA, DPA, or OTA in a complex process. 90% of the substance is lost when our body converts ALA to DHA. This means that out of 2000 mg of omega-3 alpha-linolenic acid, only 10% or 200 mg of the active omega-3 substance, docosahexaenoic acid, remains after our body completes the process.
